Corrections policy
A site whose entire pitch is "evidence you can check" needs a real process for what happens when the evidence turns out to be wrong. This is that process.
We will get things wrong. Products change without notice, pages we cite go stale, and independent testing has a real error rate. What matters is what happens next.
How to report an error
Email The Admin or post in the Discord community (see About) with:
- the page and specific claim you're disputing
- what you believe is correct
- a source we can check — a screenshot, a link, your own test transcript
What happens after you report one
- We check the current source. If the underlying page has changed since we last verified it, that's a routine update, not a correction — the record gets refreshed with a new verified date.
- If we got it wrong at the time — misread a policy, transcribed a price incorrectly — we fix the record and note it.
- Material corrections to a published score or compliance status are logged on the updates page, dated, with what changed and why. We don't quietly edit a number and move on.
- Nothing is deleted from the history — see methodology on how score and pricing history is kept, not overwritten.
Response time
We aim to acknowledge a correction report within a few days and resolve straightforward factual corrections (a wrong price, a stale link) quickly. Corrections that require re-testing take longer, honestly — see About for how testing capacity actually works right now.
Disputes from platforms
If a platform we reviewed disputes a finding, the same process applies: show us the source. A platform's disagreement with a score, on its own, is not grounds for changing it — evidence is. We do not remove negative findings under partner pressure; see affiliate disclosure for that commitment in the context of commercial relationships specifically.
